My artwork (commissioned or not) should NOT be used for AI-training/fed into AI image generators.

My artwork (commissioned or not) should NOT be used for NFTs. I will NOT do NFT-related commissions.

I reserve the right to refuse or cancel a commission for any reason (lack of time/skill/etc.).

The client must be 18+ and is legally capable to commit to the Terms of Service. In the case of a minor, they must have a legal guardian agree to the terms on their behalf.

Once I have accepted your commission, I will send you an invoice via Paypal. The invoice will contain a link to a copy of my Terms of Service to protect both parties.

Once I have received full payment, I will begin your commission.

I will send you a watermarked Work In Progress (WIP) check after the sketch phase. If you would like to receive more WIP checks throughout the process, please inform me.

Major revisions will only be accepted at the sketch phase - major revision requests past the sketch phase will be refused or subject to additional fees.

The commission will be completed within 3 months. If I have any timeline concerns regarding the commission, I will inform you of potential delays prior to the invoice being sent.

Full resolution images will be sent via email.

Commission progress can be tracked through my Commission Tracker on Notion, updated frequently for transparency.

I try to work on commissions in the order that I accept them, with the exception of rush commissions.

All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD$) and will be made via PayPal.

Some commission elements (ex. highly detailed characters, detailed backgrounds, etc.) may be subject to additional fees.

I will not start on the commission until I have received the full payment unless otherwise agreed upon.

In the case that the commission is cancelled on the client's end, I will issue different refund amounts depending on the commission's stage:

NOT STARTED: Full refund

SKETCH/FIRST WIP CHECK: up to 50% refund

LINEART/FLATS/RENDERING: No refund

Please note that refund percentages are calculated by each individual commission piece's fee. For example, if you order 2 portraits and the commission is cancelled after the 1st portrait's sketch phase, you will get a 50% refund on the 1st portrait and a 100% refund on the 2nd portrait.

In the case that the commission must be cancelled by me, I will issue a FULL refund (100% of the charge) to the client, regardless of stage.

The client is allowed to repost the watermarked version of their commission on social media with proper credit (art by @startist17/@startiist17). If you are not the client, DO NOT use/repost the work.

Commissions are for PERSONAL USE only.

For commercial use commissions, additional fees will apply. Commercial usage includes but is not limited to: emotes (Twitch, Discord servers), printed merch to be sold, promotional material.

The commissioner may print merchandise for PERSONAL USE (stickers, charms, prints, etc.). They are not to be sold or distributed with the intention of bearing monetary value or advertising purposes. Please inform me in advance of printing if you would like to use the work for these purposes.

You may not trace the artwork or claim the work as your own.

You may not mint the artwork as an NFT or use it with generative AI programs.

I retain full copyright and ownership of the piece unless otherwise stated.

I reserve the right to use the commission for promotional purposes (ex. commission examples, portfolio/website).

If the commission is a gift or a surprise, you may request for me to refrain from posting it publicly until a later date.
